Beatrice
Celli
CalceViva (tr. quicklime, literary traduction "live lime") is a project that works on a double track: the track of rediscovery and enhancement of places and the track of rediscovery and enhancement of civic sense. The two tracks converge in one place: the symbolic and suggestive place of art. Art that becomes a concrete language of rebirth. Colors, shapes, fragments, materials, space and time that lead together to a message of life, to define and represent the strength that lies in the symbolism of the lime who can live again. The hands of Beatrice Celli and her collaborators who want to contribute to give life to the "lime" will be the hands of each individual who believes in the strength of the rediscovery and the enhancement of the places as rediscovery and valorization of oneself, of ourselves, of the "quicklime".
CalceViva3 - Esocosis 08.2019
The CalceViva - Finestre magiche project was conducted in an abandoned underground passageway without lighting.
A degraded area comes alive only at night, thanks to the decorations made with phosphorescent paint.
The motives are those of the traditional decorations of the country of the boys of the association Salam, an association that hosts refugees in Isola del Gran Sasso (Italy).
The ephemeral intervention shows a possibility and a potential. To continue to live the installation requires artificial lighting that unfortunately the municipality has not yet installed.
